Starting as Reformed Somerville in 2015 with a clear goal in mind to become Somerville’s go-to hub for health and fitness, we’ve evolved from our humble in the heart of Somerville and moved to the bustling industrial estate, rebranding to Evolve in 2019.
Evolve is well and truly establishing itself as one of Somerville’s best kept secrets, following up by opening a second hub in Rosebud.
We’re proud to offer over 30 small group classes a week including reformer Pilates and strength and conditioning classes, as well as multiple Exercise Physiologists who continue to transform lives on the daily.
Matty graduated from his Masters of Clinical Exercise Rehabilitation in 2014 and has spent the past 7 years acquiring knowledge on how the human body moves, both when healthy and injured, to help him hone his skills as a rehabilitation practitioner.
Matty opened Evolve in 2015 (formerly known as Reformed) with a simple goal in mind – to provide a place that every single person, regardless of their age or fitness level, would feel comfortable exercising at.
Matty loves enabling people to perform to their bodies peak potential through meaningful movement. His speciality is chronic pain (particularly low back pain and shoulder pain) and loves working with clients to improve their mental health through exercise.
Darcy completed her Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology in 2022 and after completing placement and landing her dream job, quickly rose the ranks as a fan favourite at Evolve.
Darcy enjoys working closely with a range of different clinical backgrounds to help them achieve their goals and enjoy exercise, taking particular interest in those with neurological disabilities.
A competitive beast, she has grown up playing and coaching netball on the Mornington Peninsula and you’ll find her playing for Pines FNC on every Saturday.
Elly completed her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science and is currently studying a Doctorate of Physiotherapy at Monash University. Having always been interested in the human body and how it moves, Elly knew she needed to combine her passion for helping others with her love of exercise.
After dealing with many injuries herself spending 3 years as a professional cricketer, Elly hopes to use her experience and knowledge to help others achieve their health goals from fitness to rehabilitation and anything in between.
With a strong belief in movement as medicine, you’ll often find Elly out on her bike, hitting the golf course or taking her two fur babies out on adventures…when she’s not at the studio!
Amelia is a certified Pilates instructor with expertise in mat, reformer, and pre/post-natal Pilates. She enjoys designing engaging and challenging classes that will strengthen and push you
In addition to her teaching, Amelia is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Health Science in Clinical Nutrition and hopes to specialise in sport nutrition and women’s health.
Amelia grew up playing netball and football for Somerville and loves being apart of the community at Evolve.
Matilda is a young Pilates teacher passionate about helping people achieve their best versions of themselves through movement, and Pilates in particular.
She loves being active herself and moving as often as she can she can, enjoying running and playing netball for the Pines. Don’t let her quieter, calm nature fool you – she’s capable of kicking just as much butt as the rest of the team!
